This page highlights Private Commission Information. Not Commercial, for Commercial-based Commissions please contact me through my Email listed above. For Digital Pieces I will give you a large-scale/resolution and small-scaled version of your finished commission. If you wish for a print, there will be an additional charge. These pieces are easier to set price-guidelines.  For Traditional Pieces I will send you your piece through the mail (and if you are local I can arrange for a drop off with you.) There is no pricing guidelines for these pieces because of how difficult it is to blanket-price Traditional Pieces depending on what media I am doing this in and what sort of canvas I am using.

For Payment

• If I accept the terms of your commission, upon approval I require half of the payment for me to start working on your piece. I will not begin to work until this is sent to me.

• After paying half, I will show you the sketch with my watermark on it, during this time you are welcome to revise and express changes. The next stage will be showing you the coloured version and you may revise. When I am done these revisions I will show you the finished version with a watermark on it. When I show you this piece, I require the rest of the payment to give you your cleaned version.

• For right now, I only accept online transfers for payment. I do not accept physical currency. For people who do not use $CAD (who are nonlocal/not Canadian) I will only accept money through Paypal as it converts on its own. If you are local/bank with a Canadian bank I can arrange an interact e-transfer however I don't feel as comfortable doing this.

• If the commission does not come out in the sketching stage the way you want it I will refund you the half-payment.

• After the Sketch-Stage in which you have revised and ok'd any changes with me and I have left to go on my way, I will only accept two large revisions for free of the concept. Colour-stage revisions only relate to the colouring of the drawn image. If you wish more revisions, there will be an extra charge.

Rights

• For Private Commissions, you do not have the right to use my piece of art for Commercial use. You may print my art on a personal t-shirt or mug however you may not sell those items with my art on them. You may post my image on your social media, or use it as your icon, set your screensaver but you must not give the piece of art to friends without my credit nor may you sell it. If you wish to credit me please use one of these somewhere: Emelie Janes/markmybirds/Mar  IG: markmybirds.art (I do own 'markmybirds' but it is my personal account. I will accept the use of this). • For Traditional pieces, you may hang it up on your wall in your home or office or even at your job, however you may not sell my piece of work. If you wish to not have my traditional piece of work please contact me and I will take it back. For people wishing to use art for Commercial Use please contact me personally and inquire. (If you have any questions about this please ask).

• I have the right to post your piece on my social media, I will never claim your characters as my own, only my art. I also have the right to use your piece in my portfolio. I will include credit to you as their maker.

• I have the right to refuse/accept any requested commissions.

• You have the right to drop the commission if we do not work well together. You and I are both human, and sometimes humans don't get along. If it gets to this, we will talk about refund and what cancelling the commission means then.

• I have the rights to edit, modify, revise my guidelines, prices and rules at anytime.

Other Information

• Digital Painting and Sketch-Lineart-Colouring(&Shading) are two different styles entirely. It will probably be much harder for me to edit painting your piece. Your colour preview will look very different from those who get the Lineart Drawing. Painting generally is done in colour-shapes that I paint in shapes and lines. Much like traditional pieces.

• Traditional Pieces cost a lot more than Digital pieces. For digital pieces, my supplies are endless and I already own all that I require to do this art. For Traditional there is a price to the canvas I am using, the supplies I use to make it and generally takes me more time to do over digital works.

• For Digital Media: I promise to complete your work within 30 days. If I have anything come up, as I am a mother and because of the events of the world right now, I will contact you.

• For Traditional Media: I will play this by ear. It depends on the size you require and what sorts of art you requested from me.
